Oyo Gov, Abiola Ajimobi, Asiwaju Tinubu Quarrel!

Governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi and the national leader of his political party, Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu are in a deep seethed cold war.

Informants revealed the cause of the frosty relationship as allegations of undue interference in government matters against the party leader by the Governor.

The governor believed to have achieve his ambition riding on the waves of the support of Asiwaju Tinubu is said to have confided in friends that ‘he doesn’t need a godfather to dictate how to do things for him at his age’

The governor is 62yr old and Asiwaju Tinubu is 59yr old.

Though the details of the political pact between then is still sketchy- it is obvious that Gov Ajimobi is beginning to find the manner the former governor of Lagos state wants it to be fulfilled ‘suffocating’.

Informants squealed that he has started spurning moves he considers undue interference by his party leader.

And aside this started initiating attempts to consolidate his position in his start- and check mate Asiwaju’s influence in his domain.

Governor Ajimobi is said to be passionately wooing major stake holders in his stately widely regarded as ‘the Elders- particularly of Ibadan extraction’

He believes with their support- in and out of politics- he has more than a fair chance of remaining his own man.

Investigations revealed that he is hinging his ploy on two prongs, he is not after a second term but to perform. And two it would be a major slight if the governor ends up a puppet with the strings of control after the state.

Further investigations revealed that campaign appears to be paying off for now.

It is not clear whether Asiwaju Tinubu will allow him get away without fulfilling his pre election pact.

However findings revealed that Action Congress of Nigeria party leader in the state and former governor Lam Adeshina is striving to douse the growing ember of discord between Gov Ajimobi and Asiwaju Tinubu

He is said to be exploring peace keeping methods on grounds that it is too early for differences to adopt tone of outright quarrel.

It is not clear what effect his efforts are having on the situation at present

Oyo state governor spokes person, Debola Adeyemi refused to comment on the issue when contacted.
