Gboyega Oyetoa, the Osu state governor seeking another term in office has shown his political might with just nine (9) pictures barely 24 hours to the July 16 election.

Oyetola who is the flag bearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is up against a familiar foe, Demola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party, and leaders of breakaway factions

who have set up shop in different political parties – Yusuf Lasun, the former APC chieftain flying the banner of the Labour Party (LP), and

Akin Ogunbiyi, the ex- PDP topshot contesting as the candidate of the Accord Party (AC).

Oyetola goes into the election without the support of another critical party man, immediate past governor Rauf Aregbesola.

Aregbesola continues to shun Oyetola’s campaign after an infamous public outburst ahead of a

failed attempt to block the governor’s re-election during the gubernatorial primary that was held in February 2022.

However, Oyetola with nine pictures posted on July 14, 2022, after his campaign with the caption “When Osun Youth rallies support for Oyetola” shows

how far he has come in mustering support for his re-election without the involvement of Aregbesola and his sympathizers.
