Governor Rauf Aregbesola has changed his mind.

He is no longer interested in taking over the senatorial seat of fellow party man in Osun state, Jide Omoworare.

Rather he now wants to replace Senator from Lagos West Solomon Adeola at the upper chamber.

Adeola popularly known as Yayi has declared ambition to become the next governor of Ogun state.

And he is considered one of the front runners in the contest to determine the successor of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Governor Aregbesola is said to be making the move to take over Yayi’s seat as part of a grand plot to regain relevance in the political structure that gave him clout and influence.

The outgoing governor of Osun state is a top player in the political family headed by powerful politician Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

A former commissioner in Lagos state, he transformed governor of Osun state on the wings of the power Asiwaju Tinubu’s influence.

After eight years away from the source of his power, sources disclosed the move to come take up a Senatorial Seat in Lagos is a ploy to stage a return and position self for a more grand tomorrow.
