“The directive reaffirms his earlier stance — the SIA group will abide by the party’s official position as ratified at the national level,” insiders say.
The SIA group is the informal identity of Amosun’s political structure, one of the four dominant movements in Ogun State.
Founder and leader of the group, former Governor Amosun remains an influential chieftain of the APC in the state.
Sources say the directive aligns with his recent backing of President Bola Tinubu for another term and extends to all party decisions on candidates, including the governorship race.
“As long as the decisions are backed by the APC at the national level,” insiders added.
