Information filtering in has it that Hadiza Bala Usman, the managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority is under intense pressure.

The politician cum activists who assumed office in July 2016 has the ambition to erect a new head office for the NPA.

Earmarked to be situated in Abuja, insiders claim the new NPA head office would gulp about N7billion.

And that is where the current problem of Hadiza lays.

Emerging details claim contractors seeking to be a part of the big budget legacy are giving her hectic time in the bid to secure a part of the “action”.

She is said to also be facing heat from top players in government players extend the hands of fellowships in the bid to secure patronage for cronies.

There is also said to be the chapter of workers in the ministry attempting to corner ‘’certain schedule’’ for selves and interests they represent in the name of ensuring ‘’due process’’ as arrangements translate into action.

Hadiza’s official and personal moments are being besieged with all manners and visits from attention seeking favor-seekers.

The kind of attention she is getting – as a result of her growing influence and attraction – has started drawing a comparison between the hard-working NPA boss and infamous former minister for petroleum resources Diezani Madueke.
