Eniola Adeniyi
The things that are important to a man are what is foremost on his mind and ceaseless on his lips.
This is saying is what is playing out with former Governor of Bayelsa State Seriake Dickson.
As EndSars protests rock the different parts of the country and the President and other national and regional leaders battle to diffuse the situation, Dickson took to his social media early today, Tuesday, October 13, 2020, to reveal what he has been up to.
The former Governor revealed that along with his team, he has ‘’working out ‘’ to ensure he is fit for the official kick-off of his senatorial campaign.

‘’ As we approach the official kick off of campaigns, My team and I have been working out daily to ensure we are fit.’’ the former Governor of Bayelsa wrote along with pictures to prove his assertion.
Dickson premised this move on the claim that because ‘’ As a campaigner, I intend to touch as many communities as possible, to appreciate them for their support and solidarity throughout my ternure (sic) as governor of our great state Bayelsa, as well as the numerous endorsements I have recieved. I have equally received in courtesy, CDC leaders, traditional leaders, heads of clans, Associations, several men groups, women groups, youth groups, and others too numerous to mention from both LGAs in the Senatorial district especially from Ekeremor LGA.’’

Dickson had declared interest to become the next Senator to represent Bayelsa West and emerged the candidate of his party, the People’s Democratic Party.
The checks made by societynow.ng on the Ex-Governor’s social media page –Facebook- revealed it is all about the promotion of his senatorial ambition and ingratiating himself with his political leaders, without any mention or concern shown for the raging EndSars protests.
According to information available to societynow.ng, the Bayelsa West Senatorial seat became vacant following the Supreme Court judgment which invalidated the election of David Lyon as Bayelsa governor-elect and declared Senator Duoye Diri as governor.
Diri was the Senator representing Bayelsa West before he became the Governor of Bayelsa State.
