Nigerians are seriously taking on the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Godwin Emefiele over the freezing of the Bank Accounts of some of the promoters of the campaign against police brutality which spiraled into agitation for a good government coined EndSars.

The Central Bank headed Emefiele filed for an exparte order for the freezing of the bank accounts of some of the EndSars promoters.

The court granted the order which halts transactions on listed 20 bank accounts for a period of 90days pending the outcome of an investigation by the Central Bank.

A part of a report on the development monitored on dailypost.ng by societynow.com reads
“Some of the affected individuals include Bolatito Racheal Oduala, Chima David Ibebunjoh, Mary Doose Kpengwa, Saadat Temitope Bibi, Bassey Victor Israel, Wisdom Busaosowo Obi, Nicholas Ikhalea Osazele, Ebere Idibie, Akintomide Lanre Yusuf, Uhuo Ezenwanyi Promise and Mosopefoluwa Odeseye.

The development has stirred reactions from Nigerians who accused Emefiele of being used as a tool by the Buhari-led government to oppress the youths.

Some Nigerian youths criticised the CBN Governor for having a dialogue with some End SARS promoters, but proceeded behind closed doors to freeze accounts.
