Nigerian University Orders “Retuning Students” To Pay Pandemic Prevention Fee

Emerging details have it that a Nigerian is demanding a pandemic prevention fee from “returning students.”

A letter sighted by societynow.ng and signed by the Registrar Acho Elendu revealed that Abia State University (ABSU) has ordered students to pay Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000) as “Pandemic Prevention fee”.

The letter dated 21st October 2020 stated in part “All Returning Students are to pay a Pandemic Prevention fee of Fifteen Thousand (N15,000) Naira only, ensure Registration of their courses, to be eligible to participate in the Examinations.

The letter – attached – stated that “The First Semester, 2019/ 2020 Examination..commence on Monday, 16th November 2020.”
