Popular musician Zlatan Ibile (Omoniyi Temidayo) has dropped hints that embattled colleague Naira Marley (Azeez Fashola) may be convicted for fraud.

Naira Marley is currently remanded in prison till May 30 for hearing on his bail as he battles a 11 count charge slammed on him for internet fraud, ingloriously known as “Yahoo Yahoo”, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Naira Marley and Zlatan Smile were arrested on May 10 at the latter’s house after they released as single deemed as “glorifying yahoo”.

The single was released on the wave heated public debate on the heels of comments made by Naira Marley seen as openly endorsing the internet fraud that has wrecked havoc on the image of the country and created increased challenges for business men in attractive foreign and investors.

The EFCC claim the arrest of investigation that linked the singers to “Yahoo yahoo”.

Naira Marley risks about 7years imprisonment with option of fine if found guilty.

Societynow.ng gathered that the prosecuting agency, EFCC would be pushing for stiff penalty when the case opens.

Zlatan’s “4 Nights In Okotiebo” centres around claims by the singer that those close to him celebrated his misfortune and showed a lot of bile during the trying time.

Zlatan also showed solidarity with his embattled friend by insisting that eventually, Naira Marley would regain his freedom.
