“My Problem With Obaseki” – Dep Gov, Shaibu Speaks

Philip Shaibu has disclosed the meat of his trouble with the Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki.
“The problem with the Governor is that he has allowed people in government and outside of government to come between us” Shaibu the Deputy Governor of Edo state disclosed.
And added, “he is managing it the way he can and, I am managing it the way I can”.
The trouble between them has, however, degenerated to the point of relocating the office of the Deputy Governor away from that of the Governor-and allocations to the former stopped for the last five months.
Sahibu speaks on his face-off with Obaseki as he officially declares to become his successor.
He is facing strong opposition from the Governor.
But the Deputy Governor insists he will be on the ballot, as the candidate of their political party, for next year’s Edo Gubernatorial election.
Shaibu and Obaseki are leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo state.
The Deputy Governor made the disclosures on November 27, 2023, during a virtual appearance on television station, TVC’s popular programme-Journalists Hangout.
