After his mysterious disappearance for over three years – in the guise of a sojourn abroad- Dandy Murphy Okojie is back.
And according to information at the disposal of societynowng.com- in a better way too.
He has repackaged his fading plaza Murphis Plaza on Sanusi Fafunwa street, Victoria Island Lagos.
The place that lost it allure, transformed neglected and abandoned is now a pride to be identified with.
It now bears a new coat, improved design and commendable ambience.
Tenants are said to be literarily falling over one another to secure a trade space.
Informants claimed the once upon a time bedvilled with imprisonment tale owner of the place achieved the transformation single-handedly.
A source close to him insists Murphy retains one hundred percent ownership of the place.
Another source cleared him off rumour of imprisonment abroad based on his prolonged absence that ‘he was actually trying to get a citizen permit in London. And he had reach a stage he couldn’t afford to try back home at will- he was forced to stay back there in order not to jeopardise his chances of getting what he was after’
He was said to have operated a self name Karaoke fun place – among other businesses while he was abroad.
Further digs revealed that Okojie intends to operate a lounge and later a night club in the repackaged plaza.
He used to run Genesis night club at the ‘old Murphis Plaza’
Sources claim he intend to embrace a new identity in the fresh attempt.
Informants further revealed that as part of preparation to achieve this- and other objectives pertaining to the plaza- he his searching for a point man to oversee the place.
He is said to be into talks with this and that person- but at press time, yet to get a suitable candidate.
Before his disappearance and sudden reappearance, Murphy Okojie was one of the connected individuals with the correct fashion sense that made the social scene- particular the Victoria Island circuit- tick.
