More Troubles For Guber Ambition As Omisore Falls Out With Chief Promoter Diran Odeyemi

Emerging details have it that things are unusual between Otunba Iyiola Omisore and his chief promoter Diran Odeyemi.

Odeyemi was Omisore’s perception manager until he recently became the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party.

It is believed he rose to his current status on the strength of Omisore’s political clout.

But recent happenstances have torn the duo apart.

Trouble reportedly started with Odeyemi’s siding certain interests in the national politics of the party that do not align with that of Omisore.

Things reportedly came to a head with the recent congress of the PDP held in Osun state.

The talk in town is that Odeyemi spoke to the truth to power in PDP – against the interest of Omisore – that an open congress should be held rather than “selection”.

Informants claim Odeyemi told National Chairman Uche Secondus that though Omisore is a PDP political might in Osun state, he does not have the numbers of Oluwole Oke and the other party members battling him for the soul of the party in the state.

He advised that clandestinely handing the structure of the party to Omisore would affect attempts by the party to take over power from the ruling All Progressives Congress– at a time it stands a great chance.

Odeyemi advice of an open congress was adopted for a true test of might.

The Omisore group shunned the Congress which threw up the candidate of the other side Soji Adagunodo as Chairman.

Insiders disclosed news of Odeyemi’s play filtered back to Omisore and further threw them apart.

Followers of happenings regarding Omisore disclosed this is a big blow for his gubernatorial aspiration as Adagunodo’s emergence as state party chairman in no small measures pushes away chances of his becoming party candidate.
