It’s been 13 episodes of hilarious drama and entertainment on this season of the Showmax comedy series, Ghana Jollof. The characters, always up to one thing or the other, really gave us a good time watching the show – from work breaks to family time.

As we close the curtains on this season’s show, here are five unforgettable moments we enjoyed from the series.

Sweet Romantic Moments

These lovebirds – Mabel (Jacinta Octansey) and Romanus (Akah Nnani) gave us the Romeo and Juliet vibe that we couldn’t stop ‘God when-ing’ for most of the series.

Disclaimer: if you’re a single-pringle, we extend our sympathy to you as you binge-watch.

Truly, love conquers all. This duo – Mabel and Romanus – fought through thick and thin to establish their relationship, especially Mabel who had to contend with her antagonistic military father, who was bent on splitting the inter-tribal relationship. She even went the extra mile in securing a good job for Romanus. How sweet!

The Friendship Goals

Sometimes being with your friends is all the therapy you need. The trio – Kweku, Jasper and Romanus gave us the ultimate friendship goals in the comedy series, Ghana Jollof. Friends who correct you when you misbehave and can also get you lit when necessary are definitely the ones you need.

From being roommates in the university in Nigeria to becoming flatmates in Ghana, these guys successfully scaled through the storms of friendship. Despite the rift that transpired between Kweku (James Gardiner) and Romanus (Akah Nnani) because of a lady, somehow both parties were able to manage the situation and their friendship in general. It wasn’t a walk in the park for Romanus, especially with someone like Kweku (angry bird) but eventually, both parties were able to settle their scores and finally came to a consensus.

The Never-Ending Catfights between Mambo and Boniface

If you’re familiar with these men – Mambo (Buchi) and Boniface (Basketmouth), you’d know that they are inseparable friends, and we saw the state of their friendship in this comedy series. From incessant arguments, conflicts of interests to business partnerships, these men took us through the roller coasters of their friendship till we got tired.

One thing we’re sure going to miss about this duo is their endless public arguments that never come to a conclusion.

The Return of Exes

If you were given the option to choose between eating stones and getting back with your ex, we’re pretty sure many of you would choose the former. Truth is, the evil done by some of these exes is enough to earn them a spot in hell, but who are we to decide that? We see the same situation reflected between Tony (Mawuli Gavor) and Juliet (Portia Freelove). A taste of love became sour because of someone’s carelessness and infidelity, which eventually led to a baby mama jeopardising the relationship.

When you think that you’ve gotten over these exes, that’s when they spring up from the blues to either establish closure or regain the lost relationship. We know that somehow, there’s still a special place for Tony in the heart of Juliet but as a fine babe who went through a disastrous heartbreak because of him, we don’t expect it to be a bed of roses for Tony. Lowkey, we want both of them back together.

That being said, you can share your favourite moment with your friends from the TV show by binge-watching the complete series on Showmax for as low as N1,200. Visit www.showmax.com to have a good laugh.
