The reconstruction is on.

The process to transform the over 200-year-old Falawo Market into a one-in-town place of commerce has started.

The rebuilding of the iconic place of trade located on Ewusi Street, Sagamu Ogun state started with a foundation laying ceremony by stakeholders led by the Akarigbo of Remo, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

Checks revealed that in charge of replacing the old with a futuristic ultra-modern place of commerce is Ayo Ojuroye and his Clay Hall Properties.

Inside information revealed that Clay Hall Properties got the brief because of the arresting expertise that Ojuroye is bringing to bear.

Ojuroye is reputed as the low-profile-as-possible-all-about-making-a-difference real estate player with strong roots in information technology.

He is the co-founder – and chief executive officer – at Betnaija, the immensely popular online bookmaker company offering betting on sporting events.

The connected entrepreneur is said to be replicating the successes of Betnaija in a more entrenched form, away from prying eyes, in real estate with Clay Hall Properties.

Clay Hall Properties is a stand-alone company from Betnaija.

Very restrained in celebrating his wins, sources say Ojuroye’s calling card is his purposefulness in making a success out of any given objective.

“Even when he is excited, you won’t see him jumping all over the place. You just see this nice smile come over his face. ” his wife, Olasumbo – the founder of the foundation for the less privileged, Spark Light – disclosed in a 2016 interview with the Sun Newspaper.

Added information revealed that the track record of huge wins he has mustered and continues to rake up, away from public glare, has transformed Ojuroye into the go-to person for many “huge number” projects from those who do not want attention.

“It is that track record that made stakeholders place their trust in him to help them maximize the opportunity in replacing the over 200 years old market with something that would make everybody a winner as a son of the soil” a source stated.

Ojuroye is a native of Sagamu in Ogun East.

Added digs revealed as part of the arrangement to keep the project in trusted hands, Clay Hall Properties will also be in charge of managing the ultra-modern market, when completed, to ensure a seamless operation aimed at endlessly boosting commerce through maximizing user experience for buyers, sellers, and window shoppers.

The ongoing project situated on over one acre of land is earmarked to have among other facilities, 2 banking halls, a fire service outlet, a hall for market meetings and other functions, an ATM gallery, over 55 convenience and parking spaces for over 44 cars with a new addition to its name – New Falawo Akarigbo Market Sagamu.
