Gbolahan Lawal, the lagos guber hopeful reportedly anointed by party Leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has shored up his image.

He perfected the deed with a recent development.

The former chief of staff to ex governor Bola Tinubu has acquired a two brand new cars – a 2010 model of Jaguar and Infinity jeep.

The low profile individual with the current title of commissioner for Agriculture reportedly used the opportunity of his late father, Chief Taoreed Akanni Lawal’s remembrance ceremony to revel his new status.

Informants claimed the act was meant to give him an improved status- and enhance standings in a manner described as ‘not ostentatious’

According to a source ‘his handlers considered his image too severe and based on existing problem with the perceptions about Governor Fashola’s supposed frugality in some quarters, they are trying to shift from that posture’

Information made available to societynowng.com is however unclear whether the architect of the concept are achieving set objectives with the news of the discovery hitting town or not.

Meanwhile in a related development, another gubernatorial aspirant and commissioner in Lagos state, Aremo Segun Oniru is back as focus of public discourse.

The lagos prince incharge of water front affairs is alleged to have expended all of 90,000 pounds to luxuriate in the pleasure of football event- UEFA game final.

Segun Oniru A Commissioner in the government of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State, Aremo Segun Oniru, spent over 90,000 pounds to watch the final match of the UEFA Champions League between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, both of Germany.

Oniru, the Commissioner for Water Front and Infrastructure Development in the Fashola administration, spent the 90,000
pounds for the purchase of match tickets for himself and 14 others who included his aides, male and female friends.

‘The 15 of them, it was reliably gathered, paid 6,000 pounds each to occupy the exclusive VIP glass stand in the Wembley Stadium in London, United Kingdom, where the final match of the UEFA Champions League took place.

‘Bayern ran away with a 2-1 victory over Dortmund.

The 90,000 pounds spent by Oniru on tickets for the match is exclusive of the cost of the private jet he chartered to London and the cost of hotel accommodation and other sundry expenses.

‘Sources close to the Lagos State prince of the popular Oniru family, said the team to London also went on a shopping spree.

It was learnt that the Lagos price, a fan of surfing, spends huge on his passions, which include sport and clubbing.

‘He was yet to return from London, where the match was played on Saturday, as at the time of filing this report’
