Emerging details have it that although Lagos State is hoping for the best in the intense battle against Covid-19, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his team are preparing for the worst.
Societynow.ng gathered the state has turned some hotels to isolation centers.
” Some people are being isolated in Hotels around Badagry” Societynow.ng learned.
The isolation is being carried out with full safer measures to contain the “temporary centers” societynow.ng learned.
Added revelation has it that official centers in Onikan, Landmark, and Gbagada have been activated to complement the efforts at Yaba.
Societynow.ng gathered that the “real fear” of Governor Sanwo-Olu and his team is community transmission of the scourge of Covid-19 and they are preparing hard to handle the situation – hence the conversion of Hotels to Isolation Centres, hints of making face masks compulsory in public and related steps societynow.ng learned.
Societynow.ng confirmed that as the lockdown days roll on, the residents are becoming laxer in sticking to the physical distancing rule – especially in low come high-density areas – there increasing the risk of community infection and the government is mindful of this.
“That is why the government has increased Covid-19 testings and awareness campaigns including letting the residents know high-risk areas in order for them to be mindful and take the situation more serious and taking behind the scene approach to prepare for the worst in the bid to continue to prevent a spread and save lives with conversion of Hotels to isolation centers as a clear example” a source pointed out.
The checks made by societynow.ng revealed that the recent single-day declaration of 70 covid-19 infections in Lagoa state appears to show the Governor and his team are on the right path.
