Kwara Gov. Fatai Ahmed Jittery Over Bukola Saraki’s N21b Fraud Mess

Governor of Kwara state, Abdul Fatai Ahmed is having sleepless nights sources just confirmed.

And the reason for this is attributed to the allegations of fraud bedevilling his political godfather and immediate past governor of the state, Bukola Saraki.

The former governor unilaterally installed incumbent Fatai Ahmed as his successor.

Informants claimed the cause of Governor Fatai’s sleepless nights has roots in allegations that- investigation link funds for his elections to financial impropriety rocking Senator Saraki.

His fear rises from consequences that might arise out of this once established- and he is found culpable.

The Governor is one of those the special fraud unit has listed for interrogation in the on going case against Senator Saraki.

The former governor is supposed to show up at the office of the S.F.U today after days of hide seek- including the drama of an alleged spurious injunction to prevent his interrogation.

He was said to have tried to get the presidency and the Acting Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Abubarka to bail him out to no avail.

Informants claimed the Presidency intends to make him one of the hall mark of it’s fight against corruption- while the Inspector General Office Police is fighting a battle to redeem the credibility of the force and take it out of the purview of a police force at the beck and call of politicians.

Both the presidency and the office of the Acting Inspector General of Police reportedly told the former governor to honour the S.F.U investigation if he has no case to answer.

The Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is facing allegations of financial crimes in the operations of acquired financial institution, intercontinental bank to the tune of N21billion.

The investigators have questioned the man that perfected the alleged crime and former managing director of the bank, Lai Alabi over the matter.

It is believed the outcome of the exercise resulted in the invitation of Senator Saraki.

Findings by societynowng.com revealed that his successor in Kwara state, Fatai Ahmed is jittery because of information that the fraud has been traced as the fulcrum of political state.

Senator Saraki had literarily acquired political power in kwara state on the strength of patronage.

A move that gave the will to force his father Oloye Olusola Saraki out of People’s Democratic Party, install the governor of the state and determine other appointments as well as securing a Senatorial seat for himself.

Investigations revealed that since the hide and seek drama over the alleged N21b fraud police invitation began, some individuals have ‘occupied’ the senator’s twitter handle @bukolasaraki with messages- abuses and the likes- charging him to honour the call to clear himself.
