Kunle Afolayan, Lolu of Big Brother Nigeria, and Busola Dakolo Dazzle Students Of Ilorin As MT Pulse Campus Invasion Hits Town

Filmmaker and actor, Kunle Afolayan; professional photographer, Busola Dakolo; former Big Brother Naija, 2018 housemate and Lolu Shomuyiwa, created a spectacle at the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara state, on Thursday, November 15th 2018, when they arrived for the highly anticipated Pulse Talk Series. The Series has become a staple of the MTN Pulse Campus Invasion that has been sweeping through the country since July 2018.

After three days of various exciting activities non-stop, on Thursday, the Performing Arts Theatre, UNILORIN, was filled to the brim before the speakers stepped into the venue. The students of the University of Ilorin and the Kwara State Polytechnic, gathered to listen to big names in the movie and photography business – Kunle Afolayan and Busola Dakolo – speak to them on life, business, and efficient management of side hustle.

Afolayan shared the various tips that helped him as an aspiring filmmaker. “As an aspiring filmmaker, you should know it’s not all about going commercial. Not all films will sell, but they’ll be remembered forever,” he shared in a subdued tone. He advised that the students study as the various areas in production have many subsections, he gave lightning and gaffers as examples.

The delightful Busola Dakolo, professional photographer, gave photography tutorials and shared important insights for photography as a business – the understanding of angles, lighting, etc.

Also in attendance was UNILORIN alumnus, Lolu Shomuyiwa of Big Brother Nigeria, who shared the experience of the Pulse talk series with the student.

The event made a mark on the students as they wore their emotions on their animated faces – they had learnt a lot in the past few hours and they loved every minute of it.
