Kogi Dep Gov, Edward Onoja Unseen At Favorite Place For Weeks

The checks by SocietyNow.Ng revealed that Edward Onokja, the Deputy Governor of Kogi state has drastically cuts down visits to his usual places for weeks.

Information at had revealed that he limited his visibility since April 2023.

April was the month the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2023 Kogi state gubernatorial election was elected.

Onoja who was in contention for the gubernatorial ticket stepped down at the eleventh hour for the eventual winner, Ahmed Usman Ododo – the choice of Governor Yahaya Bello.

Onoja was believed to have banked on Governor Bello’s support before the later pulled a surprise with the lesser known Usman Ododo.

Added checks revealed that ahead of the development, Onoja’s hardcore support for Governor Yahaya Bello earned him the appellation “most loyal Deputy Governor” in and out of Kogi state.

The most telling pointer of Onoja’s extreme reduction in his visibility is his non activity on favored playground – Facebook.

He has been unseen at the favorite place for weeks.

SocietyNow.ng’s check revealed that the Deputy Governor’s last post was in April (April 13) – after he agreed to opt out of the race for the APC gubernatorial ticket in Kogi State.

The Kogi State gubernatorial election is scheduled for November 11, 2023.

Onoja, 48, was first elected as Deputy Governor on a joint ticket with Governor Bello in January 2016 and got another term in October 2019.
