Kashamu Buruji, Ex Gov Daniel’s Reconciliation Under Way

Those expecting major fireworks in the political fight between Senator Kashamu Buruji and former governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel might need to wait longer.

Reason?

Efforts are currently on to reconcile the two political gladiators fighting for control of the Ogun State chapter of People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Societynow gathered stakeholders within the PDP – and their sympathisers – are mounting pressure on Kashamu and Daniel to sheath their swords and work together for the good of the party.

The party is keen to takeover administration of the state from rival party All Progressives Congress and its promoters.

Insiders disclose the reconciliation is being canvassed on the strength of “negotiating” political terms that protect the interest of the two “combatants” and their supporters.

Those who should know however revealed the “peace” moves are being slowed down based on refusal of one of the duo to come to the negotiating table after the other agreed to let peace “reign”.

Kashamu and Daniel, though in the same political party have been at odds for a while.

The height of their political differences came recently when Daniel accused Kashamu of masterminding an assassination attempt against him (Daniel).

The Senator had reacted with threats to spill dark secrets of the former governor in days to come.
