Iyiola Omisore, the leader of the People’s Democratic party in Osun state says it is not yet party time for supporters and party big wigs.
Rather he told party men to swing into action and milk the gains of the victory in Saturday’s election.
Party man Demola Adeleke defeated Mudashiru Hussein, the candidate of All Progressives Congress Candidate fiercely backed by state Governor Rauf Aregbesola to win the Osun West Senatorial bye election.
The seat at stake was formerly occupied by Isiaka Adeleke, the elder brother of new winner Demola Adeleke.

The older Adeleke died in circumstances that has thrown up a lot of dust in Osun state.

Demola, initially wanting to contest under the platform of APC was forced out with Aregbesola’s do or die antics of making his candidate Hussein party candidate.
The younger Adeleke opted to take up the offer from a coalition of People’s Democratic Party forces lead by Iyiola Omisore to use their platform.
He defected at the last minute and became the candidate of the overshadowed party in Osun state.
But after counting of votes on Saturday Adeleke amassed a total of 97,480 votes to beat Mudashiru Hussein who got 66,116 votes.
The development which made Adeleke winner gave the PDP a strong voice in Osun state.

But Omisore, the  leader of the party which helped Adeleke secure victory insists it is not party time.
Rather he instructed party chieftains and supporters to hit all the nooks and crannies of the state and transform the  victory into a campaign to make PDP more popular and gain more ground against Governor Aregbesola and his All Progressives Congress.
