Emerging details from the confines of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State do not bode well for Demola Adeleke, the politician popularly known as the Dancing Senator.

Wole Oke, the man who backed Demola against all odds to become the Gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in the last gubernatorial election in Osun State has turned against him.

Societynow.ng learned Oke is rabidly against talks that Demola Adeleke wants another shot at becoming the Governor of Osun State as the candidate of the PDP.

Insiders disclosed that to put an effective lid on Adeleke’s ambition Oke has declared interest in becoming the next Governor of Osun State.

“This is a very bad signal for Adeleke because Oke has fanatical followings in and out of the PDP. He is the main financier of the PDP in Osun state and has cultivated loyalties across party lines over the years with his heavy spending. It is this intimidating influence he used to pressurized party leaders and supporters to support Adeleke’s gubernatorial ambition that he has now deployed against him” Societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed that to worsened the situation for the Dancing Senator another major player has joined forces with Oke.

“Akin Ogunbiyi has teamed up with Oke and that is really bad news for Adeleke” a source offered.

Societynow.ng learned that Ogunbiyi was lobbied to support Adeleke’s gubernatorial ambition at the last minute with the promise of a Senatorial ticket.

“Ogunbiyi kept his bargain but Adeleke and his people didn’t…the ticket was given to one of their followers because they were in control of the party with the support of Oke” a source stated.

“But with Adeleke’s major supporter and his fiercest adversary working together against him, getting another shot with his ambition to become Governor of Osun state in 2022 has become an uphill task to be more than feared” Societynow.ng gathered.
