Inside Details Why Ex-Speaker Ikuforiji Is Hotly Disputing Interest In Gov Ambode’s Seat

Former Speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikufori has disputed claims of interest in becoming the next Governor of Lagos state.

Sources disclosed to societynow.ng that Ikurofiji is one of the few politicians Ambode favours.

“Ikuforiji is a hardcore Ambode supporter, the former speaker cannot complain the governor does not dole out contracts” a source stated.

The former Speaker is listed as one of those enjoying government patronage while others lament.

Societynow.ng learned this gesture from Ambode means a lot to Ikuforiji after he fell out of favor with political leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a result of perceived ‘’over ambition”.

And in return, the former speaker is said to serve as one of the unofficial consultants to the Governor on the workings of Lagos state House of Assembly and related political intrigues.

‘’Though a mutually beneficiary relationship, the relationship with Ambode is a keenly needed lifeline for Ikuforiji, hence his hot denial of the interest in the seat of his benefactor” societynow.ng learned.

Ikuforiji in the denial labeled the talks as ‘’handiwork of crooked persons..out to make mischief..” and claims to know ‘’the unscrupulous person who started the whole thing” while insisting ‘’there is no vacancy in Alausa”.

Alausa is the location of the office of the Governor of Lagos.
