The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) under the leadership of Director General Folorunsho “Folly” Coker has received high marks on ethics and integrity compliance in the handling of its affairs.

The assessment was carried out by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Offences Commission (ICPC).

The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation #NTDC scores 82% on the 2021 Ethics and Integrity Compliance Assessment.

Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, the apex Tourism Agency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was one of the Three Hundred and One Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), that underwent the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Offences Commission (ICPC) integrity assessment for year 2021.

The aftermath of the assessment which was published in the Ethics and Integrity Compliance Scorecard of MDAs of the federal republic of Nigeria, 2021 publication which showed that NTDC ranked 11th position out of 301 MDAs assessed.

The Corporation scored 82%. It was the best-rated organisation under the Ministry of Information and Culture.

The Scorecard evaluates MDAs compliance to ethics, integrity, statutes, policies and regulations based on three key performance indicators (KPIs): Management Culture and Structure (MCS), Financial Management Systems (FMS) and Administrative Systems (AS).

  1. Management Culture and Structure – Official Score 30% – NTDC 21.0%
  2. Financial Management Systems – Official Score 40% – NTDC Score 35.1%
  3. Administrative Systems – Official Score – 30% – NTDC Score – 26.5%

Making a Total of 82.6%.

Folorunsho Coker, the Baba Eto of Yorubaland, was appointed for a second term – of four years – in office by President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, April 30, 2021, based on exemplary performance in his first term.
