Imo Deputy Gov Madumere Abandons Official Residence As Fight With Gov’s Son In Law Gets Worse

The Deputy Governor Of Imo state Eze Madumere has abandoned his official residence.

This development is said to have roots in raging fight to become the next governor of the state.

Governor Rochas Okorocha is supporting his chief of staff and daughter’s husband, Uche Nwosu to become successor.

The governor has made his intention public but Madumere has refused to step down his ambition, insisting he would test his political strength irrespective of whether the Governor supports him or not.

Insiders claim he abandoned his official quarters as things intensify because of “security reasons”.

Open clashes between supporters of the deputy governor and the governor’s son in law are becoming more rampant.

The Deputy Governor and the Chief of staff no longer see eye to eye.

Madumere reportedly move to his private house where he is said to be operating from.

Insiders claim the relationship between the governor and his deputy has  reached the point where conscious exclusion from meetings and related engagements have become the norms.
