Ogun state gubernatorial aspirant Solomon Olamilekan Adeola has set the record straight on his ambition.

He declares he remains a serving Senator in Lagos state and is still consulting with stakeholders on his ambition to become the next governor of Ogun state.

This puts to rest reports of declarations in certain quarters as well as talks sparked off with the emergence of his campaign posters in some parts of Ogun state.

The politician popularly known as Yayi sets the record straight in a recent statement.

Yayi’s clarification comes on the heels of the emergence of his campaign posters which contravenes electoral laws regarding such.

He distances self from such claiming his ‘’opponents’’ at work insisting he knows ‘’it is illegal for any aspirant for elections in 2019 to begin political campaign as portrayed in the poster springing up in parts of Ogun state’’.

The statement on yemojanewsng.com reads in part

” The senator noted that he is aware of many vested interests that are afraid of his daily soaring acceptability as a grassroots politician and would plot any evil deed to portray him as a law breaker and possibly exclude him from participation in any political contest in 2019.

Senator Adeola said that presently what is going on in Ogun state are consultations among relevant stakeholders on Ogun 2019 adding that he remains the duly elected senator of Lagos West and will continue to represent them fully in all ways.’’

This development also comes against the backdrop of details coming to fore that supporters of Adeola in Lagos West are canvassing for his re-election as he engages in ‘’consultations’’ regarding his Ogun state gubernatorial ambition.
