celebrated his birthday with gratitude and renewed commitment
Dayo “D’Bush” Alebiosu, Lagos State commissioner for waterfront infrastructure development, celebrated his birthday with gratitude and renewed commitment to public service.
Known for his grassroots popularity, Alebiosu emphasized that personal growth is inseparable from community impact.
“Birthdays are not just about adding years, but about adding value — to ourselves, to our communities, and to the world around us,” he said.
And, added “as I step into this new chapter, I look forward to greater impact, deeper connections, and brighter days ahead.”
D’Bush thanked friends, colleagues, and Lagosians for their support, noting that their encouragement fuels his dedication to transforming the state’s waterfronts.

Alebiosu’s vision mirrors Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s broader plan for Lagos: to position the state as a global tourism and economic hub.
Speaking at a recent Tourism and Hospitality Stakeholders Summit, he outlined key waterfront projects aimed at modernizing Lagos’ coastal corridors.
“Our mandate is clear: create waterfront infrastructure that matches global standards and positions Lagos as a truly competitive coastal city,” he popular face emphasized.
Signature initiatives include upgraded jetties with concrete pontoons, the Wole Olateju Boardwalk, and the redesigned Bariga Jetty, set to function as a modern fish market and community hub.

Collaboration with agencies like LAGFERRY and the Ministry of Transportation ensures that these projects are both visually appealing and operationally effective.
“Tourism is ultimately about experience,” Alebiosu said, explaining that “with these improvements, Lagos will deliver cleaner, more accessible, and engaging waterfront spaces.”
As Lagos enters the festive season, residents will feel the impact through improved cleanliness, accessibility, and overall ambience.
The top-level cabinet member insists, the work reflects the governor’s vision of a Greater Lagos — a city that welcomes the world while creating lasting value for its citizens.
Turning a year older, Alebiosu reaffirmed his commitment: “I remain focused on delivering projects that improve lives and enhance our city’s reputation globally.”
