“I Don’t Know Why People Are Determined To See IBB Dead” – Aide Laments

An aide of former Military President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida has expressed deep frustration over the constant death rumors decorating his principal.

The aide, Mahmud Abdul expressed his exasperation in the face of the latest death rumor surrounding the 79years old who infamously cancelled what was labeled the ‘freest and fairest” (1993 Presidential) election in Nigeria during his 8years military rule.

The former military president who got the nickname “Maradona” for his political maneuvers and “Evil Genius” for the annulment of the immensely popular 1993 Presidential Election has been consistently dogged with death rumors since he left office.

Reaction to the latest rumor in a report monitored by societynow.ng on thenationonlineng.net, Mahmud Abullahi one of the spokespersons of he retired Nigerian Army General reported asserted that “he does not know why people are determined to see IBB dead” and dispelled the latest rumor with the declaration that “Death is not something that is hidden in the North. If the former President is dead, the news would not be hidden and cannot be hidden,”

Mahmud spoke with the news platform when it visited the Minna home of the former military president to confirm the veracity of the latest speculation of death around the man those are fond of his brand IBB (Acronyms of his names).
