Some smart are reaping from the raging controversy surrounding the refusal of an unnamed young man to give his seat to widely celebrated literary giant Wole Soyinka on a flight.

Their plot is simple.

The smart Alecs take on the cloak of impostors and claim to be the yet to be identified person that unseated Professor Soyinka from a window-side seat.

The seat was allocated to the unidentified man but Professor Soyinka occupied it before his arrival and the ‘’rightful owner’’ insisted one of the shining lights of literature in the world vacate the seat despite entreaties from fellow passengers and cabin crew.

The Prof obliged with any ado but development which was brought to public attention by witness Tonye Cole has weaved up a stormy controversy about respect, what is right and what is appropriate.

Impostors have started riding the storm in a bid to reap from the marketing edge.

The impostors claim to be the yet to be identified young man who took on professor Soyinka with write-ups on why the Noble Laureate winner was evicted from the window side seat.

‘The impostors’ plot is simple, they are using it to draw attention to their handles and create the status of social media influencers for selves while at the same type drawing attention to what they really do as products sellers or services providers’’ as source pointed out to societynow.ng.

Checks by societynow.ng learned quite a number of individuals earnestly searching for the identity of the unidentified young man – and self-proclaimed reasons he refused to give up his flight seat to professor Soyinka – are falling victims of the impostors ‘’scam’’ as they share different versions of the scam messages on and offline.
