How Sanwo-Olu Is Caging Fallout Of Taking Away NURTW Chairman Post From MC Oluomo

As it relates to the happening within the Lagos state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), sources say Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has thrown as his garb of a gentleman and adorned that of a very “hard man”.

Insiders disclosed that the Governor has warned that that dire will be very dire consequences for anyone who tries to use violence to upset the new arrangement in the transport union body.

Former treasurer Mustapha Adekunle otherwise known as Seego has replaced a reluctant Musiliu Akinsanya, better known as MC Oluomo, as the Chairman of the NURTW.

Seego’s emergence was the chain reaction of a now-rumpled arrangement that would have seen MC Oluomo become the National President of the NURTW.

Akinsanya’s attempt to clandestinely hold on to the Lagos NURTW as he bids for the position of National President reportedly soured his rapport with Seego who secured the support of the Lagos power circle that includes the Governor – and headed by President Bola Tinubu – to halt the move. And take office as the Chairman of the NURTW in Lagos state.

In stopping MC Oluomo’s ploy, Governor Sanwo-Olu committed all the stakeholders to “severe understandings” that spelled dire consequences for “troublemakers” among them.

The “severe understandings” were reportedly backed by heads of the major security agencies in the state.

Insiders disclosed that Sanwo-Olu was in a very rare “i-will-deal-you-mood-” in committing the NURTW stakeholders, particularly those suspected to be harboring undesirable intentions, to the “severe understandings”.

“That is what despite the tensions and talks, the peace is being maintained” according to those in the know.
