How KWAM1 Is Helping Kollington Ayinla To Have A Good Life
contrary to narratives about town
Contrary to claims in some quarters, those who should know insist that Wasiu Anifowoshe, the Fuji King famously known as KWAM1 is a key contributor to getting a better life for his older colleague, Kollington Ayinla (real name Abdulrasaq Kolawole Ilori).
Kollington is one of the pioneers of Fuji music created by the late microphone wizard, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister (real name Sikiru Ololade Ayinde Balogun).
KWAM1, a protege of Barrister, revolutionized Fuji Music and is affirmed as the reigning king of the genre.
But sources say that contrary to narratives about town KWAM1, who recently succeeded the more accomplished Subomi Balogun (late) as the Olori Omoba of Ijebu – Ode, Ogun state, has not abandoned Kollington.
Insiders rather the Fuji musician who also goes by the stage name K-1 has been supporting the living of his senior.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that one of the tremendous helplines that Wasiu Ayinde provided is financial support from the Lagos state government dating back to when Babatunde Fashola was Governor.
Fashola, the immediate past Minister for Power, Works and Housing was the Governor of Lagos State from 2007–2015.
Findings revealed that Wasiu Ayinde leveraged influence with Fashola’s political godfather, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to secure consistent support funds for Kollington Ayinla from the Lagos state Government.
“And the tradition has continued since then Ambode paid it and Sanwo-Olu is paying it” according to those in the know.
Akinwunmi Ambode succeeded Fashola as Lagos state Governor. He spent a term in office before Babajide Sanwo-Olu who won re-election for a second term in 2023 took over.
Added revelations have it that, KWAM1’s helping hand to Kollington is not limited to this.
He is said to make personal good gestures as well as “encourage” others to reach in making life better for the 74-year-old.
