“How I Hoodwink My Victims” – Actor Arrested For Fake Bank Alert Scam

Olumide Olajide, a self-claimed actor arrested for fake bank alerts scam has explained how he hoodwinks his victim
According to the confession made by Actor turned fraudster, he usually asks for the account numbers and names of his victims after purchasing goods from them. He would use the information provided to generate their details using the USSD code of his bank.
Using the details, he said, he would alter old bank alerts he received from his bank by changing the date and amounts to reflect his objectives and send it to the victim.
He disclosed that the manipulated details would show on the recipient phone as a genuine alert from his bank.
“After seeing the alert they would allow me to go away with the goods” he disclosed.
Narrating how he got caught, Olajide explained:“I did it three times before I was arrested,,,I went to another shop and a woman recognized me through the display photograph on my WhatsApp and raised alarm”
The self-confessed criminal was arrested in Ibadan where he was carrying out his nefarious activities and paraded at the Oyo state police command Eleyele.
