The secret behind the gubernatorial ambition of dancing Senator Demola Adeleke is unraveling.

Those who should know disclose just like how he became a Senator, his gubernatorial ambition is “accidental”.

Demola transformed from United States of America returnee to a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the wings of the sentiment of his Brother’s death.

The more famous brother Isiaka Adeleke a former Governor of Osun state widely known as Serubawon died in controversial circumstances.

And his constituents as an act of loyalty voted his younger brother Demola to see out his term in the Senate.

Insiders disclosed the current gubernatorial ambition decorating Demola towed a similar path – but there is no death involved.

Those who should know disclosed that party leaders in the Osun state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party against the gubernatorial ambition of Otunba Iyiola Omisore approached Deji Adeleke, the billionaire father of singer Davido- and elder brother of Demola- that they want him to be “PDP’s Candidate”.

Insiders disclosed the good friend of Aliko Dangote had turned down the offer with a counteroffer – let Demola become Governor in my stead and I will provide all required support.

Sources disclosed though not comfortable with the “candidature of Demola”, the People’s Democratic Party team had accepted the counteroffer because of the “huge fund involved”.

They need a deep pocket to back the party’s gubernatorial efforts in taking away power from ruling All Progressives Congress which is all out to retain control of the government in the state.

“Deji was the real choice, but he told them he is beyond the position of Governor based on his profile as a successful business and offered his brother in his stead…that is how Demola became a gubernatorial hopeful” a source summed up the development.
