How Ambode Showed Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Of Staff Tayo Ayinde Hell!

Immediate past governor of Lagos state Akinwunmi Ambode infamously spent just a single of four years but the cloud over his actions and inactions surpasses almost all those who reigned longer.

Societynow.ng gathered that one of the cloudy moments of Ambode’s rule was the treatment of Tayo Ayinde, the Chief of Staff to incumbent governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Ayinde acquired a choice property in Ikeja GRA from Lagos state government during the reign of Babatunde Raji Fashola as Governor of Lagos state.

Insiders disclosed that Ayinde sold off the property for about N100million.
Societynow.ng learned that Ambode stumbled on the details of the transaction when he became the governor of Lagos state ”based on the nature of the property”.

Insiders disclosed that the governor immediately revoked the Certificate of Occupancy on the property.

”The Pleas by many rated individuals, even religious leaders for Ambode to let go of the matter fell on deaf ears. He simply did as he wished and the victim went after Ayinde to recoup his money. It certainly was a torrid time for Ayinde” societynow.ng learned.

Societynow.ng gathered that Ayinde eventually agreed to ”refund” the money paid for the property to the buyer.

Insiders, however, disclosed that to the helpless fury of Ayinde and those who waded into the matter, Ambode did not convert the property for the use of the state but re-allocated it to someone he found ”worthy”.
