Here Are The Major Decision Makers That Just Joined The List Backing Aremo Oniru In Fierce Contest To Succeed His Father As Lagos King & Why Rival Ajasa Is Putting Up A Big Fight!

Insiders disclosed the list of those in favor of Prince Adesegun Abiodun, the former commissioner better known as Aremo Oniru to succeed his father – Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru as the King of Iru Land, Lagos state just got a big boost.

Societynow.ng gathered that Governor of Lagos state Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy Obafemi Hamzat are quietly rooting for Aremo Oniru.

Insiders disclosed that Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat are however campaigning for Aremo Oniru with stealth.

Aremo Oniru is in a fierce contest with Akeem Ajasa, a police officer – and the chief personal security officer of Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives  – in the process to determine the new king of Iru Land.

Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru, the immediate past king is Aremo Oniru’s father.

Insiders disclosed that Oba Abiodun succeeded his father – Aremo’s grandfather – despite the arrangement in place for the throne to be rotated among three ruling houses in Iru land.

‘’Oba Abiodun was able to take the throne then because he helped the family to reclaim vast area of land encroached on by impostors. He got the throne despite major protest from Ajasa’s father whose turn it was to become king as compensation of sort’’ societynow.ng learned.

Insiders claim Ajasa’s father gave up the fight after a ten years battle with the understanding that the throne would come to his family after Oba Idowu Abiodun’s reign.

‘’That is why Ajasa is putting up such a big fight against Aremo Oniru’s move to take the throne, but I feat his family faces yet another loss’’ societynow.ng learned.

According to information at hand, Ajasa – despite backing from the influential stakeholders led by Oba of Lagos Rilwan Akiolu – does not have the clout to rival Aremo Oniru.

Aremo Oniru is a senior member of the innermost caucus of the decision-makers in Lagos state, a position that comes with enormous influence and goodwill in and out of the state.

Insiders disclosed that based on his stature, many see Aremo Oniru in a position to protect and develop Iru Land better than Ajasa.

‘’Based on an agreement is an agreement, Ajasa is the man for the throne especially because his family was denied for the Abioduns to reign back to back but based on influence, affluence, goodwill and who is in the better position to protect the status of the Oniru as the head of the powerful Idejo clan and the riches of Iru land with government attention and development, Aremo Oniru is the obvious choice.
