Hakeem Murhi Okunola Signs “Sack Letter” As Ambode Leaves Office

Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode has left the office.

Ambode handed over to new governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu this afternoon.

Sanwo-Olu will be officially sworn-in as Ambode’s successor tomorrow – May 29, 2019.

Documents available to societynow.ng revealed that all political aides appointed by Ambode – excluding career officers – were also ordered to hand over to the most senior officers in their establishments.

The Circular that ordered the aides to exit office along with their principal is signed by Head of service Hakeem Murhi Okunola.

The Circular attributes the order to a directive by ’’Governor Akinwunmi Abode’’.

Interestingly the development has sparked off another round of controversy just like most of the latter days of the now former one-term governor of Lagos state.
