Guber Ambition In Turmoil As Things Fall Apart Between Senator Demola Adeleke & Major Backer Adejare Bello

The alliance that enabled Demola, the younger brother of Senator Isiaka Adeleke inherit his brother’s seat at the Senate is no more.

Insiders disclosed a major stakeholder in the coming together of political powers to ensure Demola becomes the Senator representing Osun West has pulled out.

“Adejare Bello is no longer with Adeleke and not only this is working against the Senator’s latest political ambition” a source declared.

Thanks to the machination of Deji Adeleke  another of his elder brother, Demola is nursing ambition to become the next governor of Osun state.

But Adejare a former speaker of the Osun state House of Assembly and political office holder of over eight years would have none of that.

Though Adejare a well-known grass root politician supported Demola to become senator he is now of the stance “the Senator lacks what it takes to become Governor”.

Checks revealed quite a number of political stakeholders in Osun state share Adejare’s opinion of the man widely known as the “Dancing Senator” as a result of his “mindless jiggles” to sounds of music.

Societynow.ng, however, gathered that Adejare’s opposition is more rooted in his personal ambition.

He is said to be interested in becoming the Governor of Osun state.

Though with better street recognition and political clout than Demola in Osun state he lacks the financial power and economic influence in and out of the state posses by Deji Adeleke that is driving the Senator’s gubernatorial ambition.

Both Adejare and Demola are from the high votes area of Osun West and members of the People’s Democratic Party.

While Deji the father of musician Davido (David Adeleke) has lined some of the state party leaders behind Demola ambition with the ability to prosecute a big money gubernatorial campaign insiders disclosed Adejare has deployed the goodwill amassed in his years of political adventure to ensure Demola does not become the candidate.

“It is a fierce battle they are waging, though Adejare is interested in becoming governor it appears his primary goal in this political fight is that anybody but Demola can become the PDP candidate” a source disclosed.

His supporters are also claiming betrayal by the Adelekes in Demola’s moves to become next Osun Governor.

“They are claiming there was an informal agreement that another camp would produce the party candidate after helping Demola win the Senatorial election” societynow.ng learned.

Demola defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress at the last minute to become the candidate of the PDP in the election that transformed him, Senator.

Osun Gubernatorial election holds on September 22, 2018.

Those who should know claim the spiraling out of control fight with the influential Adejare in no small measure affects Demola’s chances of becoming PDP candidate upcoming gubernatorial election.

“Adejare is a major player in PDP and Osun state, this is certainly no walkover fight for the Adeleke’s” an insider sum up the situation.
