All Progressives Congress party pillars in Rivers State, Senator Magnus Abe, and Minister Rotimi Amaechi have fallen apart.

And the situation between the two former associates is said to be becoming more intense by the day.

Abe wants to become the next Governor of Rivers state and Amaechi regarded as the APC leader in the state appear not ready to commit the party machinery to such an adventure.

Another player in the party Dakuku Peterside, the party candidate in the last gubernatorial election in the state wants to have another shot at becoming governor.

Both Abe and Peterside are regarded as close to Amaechi and heavy contributors to the party’s cause in Rivers state.

Abe Sensing that Amaechi’s support is leaning towards Peterside, in a direct challenge to the minister’s authority intensified underground campaign to get other party chieftains to his side.

This was after Amaechi had ordered all talks and campaigns of gubernatorial ambition stopped.

The minister had reacted by “blacklisting” Abe as disloyal – a move the senator viewed as a direct attack on his “lifelong dream”.

He responded by reaching outside of the APC for support.

Mangnus Abe and Governor Nyesom Wike, the exceedingly painful thorn in the side of Rivers state chapter of APC are now allies.

Wike, a chieftain of People’s Democratic Party eclipsed Amaechi’s- and by extension APC – influence and might in the politics of Rivers state.

The governor had beaten Ameachi and his APC at virtually all the political engagements they had in the state since he assumed office.

Magnus Abe fought tooth and nail to win his own Senatorial election and accused Wike of all manners of illegal machinations in the election marred with different shades of irregularities.

But thanks to the fallout with Amaechi it is confirmed Wike and Magnus Abe though in different political parties, are now “allies” in moving Rivers state forward.

A development Wike has turned into a public relations spin painting Amaechi and APC in unfavorable colors by claiming Abe has seen the light – and moved out of “darkness”.
