There is a fresh twist in the drama surrounding the missing Traditional Staff of Office of the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu.

Societynow.ng learned that Oba Akiolu’s priests, part of the custodians of the tradition and culture of Lagos State have hit the town with a new song.

This is in the face of the inability to get back the stolen traditional Staff of Office (Opa Ase) Oba Rilwan Akiolu.

The Oba’s priests say the original “Opa Ase” remains in the custody of the King.

“The original one cannot be moved, the person (who tries to steal it) will die immediately” the priests assert in a new video.

This development comes after an ultimatum was given to those that stole the Staff of Office to return it -amid curses – lapsed with no positive response.

The palace of the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu was invaded by hoodlums under the pretext of the shooting of unarmed #EndSars protesters on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.

The invaders looted the palace making away with the personal effects of the King, including his traditional Staff of Office.

The traditional Staff of Office said to be in the possession of Samson who hijacked it from those that took it from the palace was put on sale before Oba Akiolu’s priests started invoking curses.
