‘Driving the ball’ is a sweet experience, and a big part of success in the game of golf. Driving it and winning a vintage ride, as one of the rewards for the most successful golfer at the 2022 ‘Charles Schwab Challenge’ PGA Tour golf tournament is sweeter.

The Charles Schwab tournament, PGA Tour, begins on Thursday, 26 May to Sunday, 29 May 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Formerly known as the Colonial National Invitational, the Charles Schwab Challenge was first held in 1946 and is PGA Tour’s longest-running professional tournament. It’s one of five invitational tournaments on the PGA Tour. It honours golf history by using an official Scottish tartan plaid jacket for its champions and top committee chairpersons.

This year’s games feature a field of world-class competitors and former champions such as Jordan Spieth, Kevin Kisner, Justin Rose, Kevin Na, Zach Johnson, Chris Kirk, Rory Sabbatini, Cameron Davis, Bubba Watson, Xander Schauffele, as well as defending champion, Jason Kokrak.

The tournament, which has become known for presenting its champion with a vintage automobile, will give the winner a fully restored and modernised 1979 Schwab Firebird this year. The car is designed to recognize a significant year in Schwab’s history, which saw the firm make the first in a long line of significant investments in technology and innovation, a central element of its ongoing success.
