Fear, Apprehension In Lagos West As Supporters Of APC Candidate, Solomon Adeola & PDP’s Segun Adewale’s Supporters Gear Up For Bloody Engagement At Every Turn In Senatorial Contest!

Except the Nigerian police make good its word to quell any form of violence, in any corner during the upcoming general elections – then the resident of Lagos West senatorial district, particularly Alimosho area have reasons to entertain the current feeling that has taken abode with them.

The residents live in fear…apprehension of outcome of possible engagements between supporters of two major players in the politics of the area, Solomo Olamilekan Adeola (popularly addressed as Yayi) and Segun Adewale (widely labelled Aeroland)

The two politicians are vying for the position of Senator Lagos West.

Confirmed as familiar foes, the duo operate on the two major political parties around , with interesting source of influence.

Solomon Adeola Yayi

Adeola belongs to the political party with the with state government in its palm and hard grasp of the politics of the state, All Progressives Congress.

While Adewale is the face of party in charge of the Federal Government and making keen attempt to make impactful presence in the state, People’s Democratic Party.

Adeola beat Adewale to become incumbent House of Representatives Member from the area.

The ongoing contest to become Senator is seen as replay of sort.

That it has turned bloody with allegations and counter allegations armed attack against one another shows how grave the situation has turned.

As at last count, three bloody engagements involving gun shots and use of dangerous weapons have been recorded.

The sites of the clashes were Alimosho, Ikeja and Badagry.

Both parties have taken the case to the Police Authorities in the state according to reports.

Information sourced by societynowng.com revealed that both have die hard faithfuls who have adopted a do or die approach to the senatorial election.

‘these are mean boys…we are afraid of what would happen if care is not taken’ a business resident of Lagos west informed societynowng.

Adewale’s supporters and army of street boys believed they were ‘robbed’ in the last encounter that saw their principal lose the House of Representatives contest to Adeola.

Feelers from the streets then showed Aeroland had more grass root popularity than eventual winner, Yayi.

But recent investigations revealed based on improved and wide spread patronage Yayi appeared to have more streets following.

And backed with this footing the federal lawmaker is looking at having a successful outing against his familiar foe – a move being resisted with increased campaigns by the other side and entanglements fast turning a violent chapter.

‘Who initiates violence is debatable…i don’t see much difference between their supporters’ a resident source refuses to take side with either of the opponents.

‘all i can say is that, there supporters are bragging all over town of doing all it takes to win and taking on their opponents muscle for muscle if warranted….i just want the world to known what we face…our property and business is at stake…and please don’t put my name ooo…i don’t want to be caught in any cross fire please’ the source pleaded for protection against reprisal attack for blowing alarm on looming violence.
