Executives of the foremost mobilization body of the Fayose political family, the Oshoko Mass Movement (OMM) on Wednesday met with representatives of non-core politicians in Ekiti State to discuss strategies aimed at achieving smooth victory for governor Ayodele Fayose’s preferred aspirant in the July 14th gubernatorial election, Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka.

The meeting which held at the conference hall of the deputy governor’s office had in attendance the State Universal Basic Education Board Chairman, Senator Bode Ola.

Representatives of teachers and local government workers who were present at the meeting vowed to give maximum support to Prof. Eleka being one of them.

A secondary school teacher, Mr. Falana James while addressing the meeting said civil servants are the ones who is supposed to beg politicians to support Eleka instead of having it the other way round.

“Eleka used to be a civil servant, he knows the importance of regular payment of salary, he will not forget his primary constituency, I think we should beg politicians to help us support him, I don’t think any civil servant will have any problem with him, he is one of us”, Mr. Falana said.

Ekiti State OMM coordinator and Member of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Wale Ayeni earlier in his address charged the gathering to be ready to resist the Abuja factor saying only absolute determination will ensure continuity of governor Ayodele Fayose’s landmark development in Ekiti State.

“Fayemi’s contemporaries will storm this state, expect those in power to come here with the aim to intimidate you, there will be intimidation, there will be harassment from federal government to take us into another enslavement but the only solution to avert a bleak future is to remain resolute for continuity”, Wale Ayeni said.
