Ex-President Jonathan’s Son-In-Law Tells Why He Wants To Be Governor

A son-in-law to former President Goodluck Jonathan has revealed why he wants to be Governor.

Godswill Edward, the in-law to the ex-president wants to be the next Governor of Cross River State.

He is currently serving as Special Adviser on Sports and Cinematography to outgoing Governor Ben Ayade.

Regarding his gubernatorial Ambition, Edwards in a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) explained that his mission is to consolidate the achievements of former Governors Donald Duke, Liyel Imoke as well as improve on the performance of incumbent Governor Ayade.

According to the gubernatorial aspirant, Duke and Imoke impacted Cross River State through Tourism and Rural Transformation while Ayade is bearing the touch light of Industrialisation.

“It is on that basis that I am running for governor, to consolidate on the gains of tourism, rural transformation and industrialisation.

“My agenda is to consolidate; let us get what our leaders have done and built over time for the good and growth of the state.

“Let us consolidate on People, Policy and Infrastructure with a view to getting Cross River working.

“We need to look at all of these and build the confidence of our investors to grow the state,” Edwards asserted.
