It appears fresh trouble is headed the way of the immediate past deputy governor of Ondo state, Agboola Ajayi.
Ajayi who suffered massive defeat in the bid to stop the re-election of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has been accused of holding on to government properties.
The deputy Governor who was the gubernatorial candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the last gubernatorial election in Ondo state is accused of holding on to official cars.
The cars are identified as Land Cruiser SUV, New Toyota Hilux, New Toyota Hilux and Toyota Hilux information according to societynow.ng revealed
The Ondo state government has petitioned the police to help it recover the vehicles from the former deputy governor societynow.ng learned.
The petition by the state government to the Police is signed by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties and Strategy, Dr. Doyin Odebowale.
Odebowale declared that he has been given the duty of recovering all government properties in the possession of former political office holders including Agboola who accused of not yielding to requests to handover the official vehicles in his possession societynow.ng gathered.
Agboola, in a report monitored by societynow.ng on thenationonlineng.net, however, claimed that he is yet receive any communication from the state government on the development.
