Ex Gov James Ibori Tells Nigerians How To “Deal” With Nation’s Leaders, Choose Good Ones

Former Governor James Ibori has words of advice for Nigerians.

And this especially as the 2019 election draws nearer.

The ex-Delta state chief executive officer who served jail term for corruption charges in the United Kingdom delivered his advice on how Nigerians should treat their leaders on Thursday, February 1 2017.

Ibori spoke during the annual Thanksgiving service of Daily Independent, the newspaper he owns.

According to a report monitored on thecable.ng, Ibori disclosed that the strong participation of the electorate in the ongoing voters registration, as well as voting is the way to achieve good leadership.

Ibori reportedly stated at the event which held in Lagos

“You should hold your leaders accountable by going to register, and vote in the right leaders,” Ibori said.

“You should know that your vote counts; times are changing, your voter card is your strength.

“The business model for publishing a newspaper has changed; we need to change with it. You as journalists should be fearless because it is your duty to speak the truth to those in power.”
