Ex Gov, Alao Akala Bounced At A Reception For Former President Obasanjo

Immediate past governor of Oyo state- Adebayo Alao Akala experienced the other side of ‘power’ recently.

The occasion was a reception held in honour of the 75th birthday celebration of former president- Olusegun Obasanjo.

The venue was Civic Centre, Lagos- and date Monday March 05 2007.

The event that witnessed the presence of two presidents- including that of Liberia-, power brokers and captain of industry was decorated with intimidating presence of security operatives.

It was the security operatives that denied former governor, Akala entry- despite being in possession of invitation card.

Investigation revealed that the former governor of Oyo state later made it into the hall of event.

Witnesses confirmed that the treatment meted out was not peculiar to just the former state chief executive officer.

According to a source ‘there were other supposed influential persons that suffered the same fate- the security arrangement was very tight’

Among those the former governor operated on the same level with- that heralded into the venue with careful handling were, Theodore Orji, Isa Yuguda, Lyel Imoke, Godswill Akpabio and Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Segun Oni, Florence Ita Giwa and Okonjo Iweala and others.
