There is a growing concern in the ranks of the loyalists of Oyo state Governor-Elect Seyi Makinde.

Sources attribute this development to emerging fears among his aides and supporters over the ability to get plum positions promised to them before the election.

Makinde has been on a round of visits to political leaders and elder state men -including former president Olusegun Obasanjo – since he won the Oyo state gubernatorial election.

His thank you visit across – and outside- the state was said to have sparked off rivalry amongst his aides as they jostle in the bid to outdo one another in attempts to provide the Governor-Elect with opportunities to meet ‘’powerful individuals’’.

Societynow.ng gathered that on the heels of this comes the fear that the meetings are throwing up requests and negotiations that now threaten the Governor- Elect’s promises of providing plum positions for some of the hard workers and die-hard loyalists that helped him achieve his objective.

The aides fear they may be sacrificed for the higher good of Makinde’s political ‘’advancement’’ and plan to secure the’’ right connection and backing’’ now that he has become the next governor of Oyo state.

‘’This fear has become grounded among Makinde’s aides and it has reached the point that another campaign to stop the round of visits and limit the threats of more requests has been kick-started by the aides’’ societynow.ng learned.

‘’This may turn major trouble if not properly managed because these people helped him craft the alluring perception that helped him to power that are unsettled. The implication for a proper start- off for his government is dire if the situation is not well managed’’ a stakeholder pointed out.

Makinde, the candidate of the opposition People’s Democratic Party defeated his main rival Adebayo Adelabu of the ruling All Progressives Congress to win the Oyo state gubernatorial election.
