Faleke contested the 2015 gubernatorial election in Kogi state as Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress.

“He was a council chairman, became House of Representatives member, transferred his party membership from Lagos to Kogi to become deputy governor and later governor and still retained the seat in all these and now he wants to come back to be re-elected? That is not only morally but, politically incorrect” is said to be the theme of rising opposition against Faleke in his perceived plot.
