Emerging Mystery Over Sudden Death Of Amosun’s Main Man Yinka Mafe

It is no longer news that the political family of the immediate past governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun just lost one of its major pillars.

Yinka Mafe, the former majority leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly died a few hours after celebrating his 45th birthday on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.

Societynow.ng gathered that Mafe’s death came as a shock to those who witnessed his birthday celebration.

”He was full of life and was his usual bubble self” societynow.ng gathered.

Insiders disclosed Mafe, who contested as a House of Representatives candidate on the platform of Allied People’s Congress (APM)- the political party sponsored by Amosun – in the last general election died after complaining of ”chest pain”.

”He was actually supposed to be on bed rest but opted to celebrate his birthday before embarking on the bed rest” societynow.ng learned.
Emerging details cast a net of mystery around his death.

Societynow.ng gathered Mafe’s death came at the same time as that of a former police area commander in charge of his political base.

”It was exactly four years ago that he had a public fracas over the celebration of his birthday with the area commander. They both died 24hours apart. This life is indeed a mystery” a source stated.

Another mystery is added to the tragic development with a revelation about the circumstances of Mafe’s birth.

”His mother died giving birth to him on February four and he died after celebrating his birthday on February 4” a source stated.

Mafe who lost the election on the platform of the APM had defected back to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) before his death.

A popular and connected politician, the death of Mafe is seen as a big blow to the political camp of Senator Amosun in the bid to regain control of the structure of the ruling party in the State.
