Embattled Oil Baron, Jide Omokore Reaches Out To Ex Minister David Jemibewon Over Raid Of Lagos Home & Office On The Heels Of Arrest Of Ex Petroleum Minister, Diezani Madueke

Embattled Oil Baron, Jide Omokore initiated spirited underground moves to get out of closing net of investigators on him.

He is said to have initiated moves to reach out to former police boss and one of the guarded confidant of President Muhammed Buhari – retired general David Jemibewon to get him out of his growing confines.

This move is confirmed to be contrary to earlier stance maintained by Omokore with the General when he postured that he had his business troubles under control with his plea negotiation with the Federal Government.

Omokore a well known associate of former petroleum minister Diezani Madueke is reported to have perfected a deal with government to return certain monies for the government to waive prosecution for economic offences.

Along with partner Kola Aluko, he is believed to have work hand in glove with person of national interest and former petrol minister – Diezani Madueke to perfect mega deals with lots of question marks over them in the petroleum sector.

But on Friday, Diezani who scampered abroad in the name of undergoing treatment for cancer ailment was arrested in London by British authorities.

Her arrest in London saw agents of antic corruption agency E.F.C.C swooped on her Abuja house and the Lagos home and office of Jide Omokore.

According to reports the Turnbull Ikoyi, Lagos home of Jide Omokore and his office on Glover Road Ikoyi, Lagos office were raided by E.F.C.C agents.

Insider revealed to societynwng.com that this development shock Omokore and his confidence the manner he has gone about the business of keeping investigators at bay so far.

Findings by societynowng.com revealed that faced with the twist of clinical procedure of international law enforcers in the case dangling over his head, he immediately initiated moves to secure the help of the man with directly access to the nation’s number one citizen and clout that spiralled beyond politics and into law enforcement, Gen David Jemibewon, the former police affairs minister to help him out.

The retired general a quiet power and much loved figure amongst the inner circle of government and kings of businesses is said to have once asked Omokore about the problems bedevilling him, but the Oil baron claimed everything under control – a claim he has set aside as issues afflicting him assume larger proportion.

Insiders revealed that like this and that players in the oil sector in the era of Diezani, investigators need details of involvement of Omokore to build a good case against the former petrol minister arrested and granted bail abroad on Friday October 2 2015.
